Common Scrub Mistakes

The common Indian approach is aggressive. Rough grains, hard pressure, daily use. That is not exfoliation. That is micro-injury.

Correct exfoliation removes dead surface cells. It does not scratch living skin. Done right, it reveals brightness, smooths texture, and helps other products absorb better.

How Often Should You Scrub

Oily skin: twice a week Combination skin: once or twice a week Dry skin: once a week Sensitive skin: once every ten days, if at all

Never scrub over active acne, cuts, or sunburn. Never scrub on the same day as another exfoliating treatment.

Signs You Are Over-Scrubbing

Redness that lasts hours. Stinging when applying moisturiser. Skin that suddenly gets oilier. New breakouts in unusual places. Shiny, tight, thin-feeling skin.

If you see these, stop for two weeks. Just cleanse and moisturise.

Why SkinRise Diamond Scrub

Diamond Scrub, 60 gm at ₹250, uses fine particles for controlled exfoliation instead of harsh jagged grains. It polishes without tearing, making it usable on most skin types when used at the right frequency.

The Right Technique

  1. Cleanse face first with your regular face wash

  2. Apply scrub to damp skin

  3. Massage in small circles for thirty to sixty seconds

  4. Zero pressure. Let the particles do the work

  5. Rinse with lukewarm water

  6. Moisturise immediately

Thirty seconds. Not three minutes. Longer does not mean cleaner.

What to Do After Scrubbing

Freshly exfoliated skin absorbs more. Use that. Apply your serum or treatment cream right after. Follow with moisturiser.

Next morning, sunscreen becomes even more important. Exfoliated skin is more sun-sensitive.

Scrub vs Chemical Exfoliant

Physical scrub gives instant smoothness and a satisfying result. Chemical exfoliants like the AHAs in Alpha Face Wash work deeper and more evenly.

Best approach: gentle daily chemical exfoliation, plus a physical scrub once or twice weekly.

FAQ

Can I scrub daily? No. Twice a week maximum for most people.

Will it remove blackheads? It reduces surface buildup and helps prevent new ones. Deep blackheads need extraction.

Can I use it on my body? It is formulated for the face. Body skin can handle more, but use as directed.
